SMEs are the heart of the economy. BID provides them with the support they need to thrive.

Portfolio guarantees for SMEs

The guarantees are available for access through selected financial intermediaries (banks and other financial institutions).

 

Eligible SMEs must meet the following conditions:

 

  • fall within the EU definition (Commission Recommendation 2003/361)

  • are registered, authorised and operate on the territory of Romania

  • operate in compliance with applicable Romanian legislation and are not subject to collective insolvency proceedings
